Call for proposals for sessions for the 2016 RGS-IBG Annual International Conference. Deadline: Monday 4th January 2016

GFGRG (Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group) invites proposals for sponsored sessions at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2016 in London from Tuesday 30th August to Friday 2nd September 2016.  
The conference theme this year is “Nexus Thinking“, chaired by Professor Peter Jackson (University of Sheffield). 
Proposals should include-
(i) Title of session;
(ii) Name of Co-sponsoring groups, if applicable
(iii) Name and Contact Details for Session Convenors
(iv) Abstract, outlining scope of session  – 200 words max.
(v) Number of session timeslots that are sought – sessions may not normally occupy more than 2 time slots. 
(vi) Indication of preferred organisation of session. Sessions last 1 hr 40 mins,  e.g. 4 x 20min presentation, plus 20min discussion; 5 x 15min presentation, with 5 min question for each presenter, we also welcome creative formats. 
(vii) Indication of any non-standard arrangements.
Please note there will be very restricted capacity for Skype or other forms of distance participation at AC2016. Session organisers who are considering distance participation should contact the conference organisers ASAP to discuss this at AC2016@rgs.org.
The GFGRG deadline for proposals is Monday 4th January 2016, we will be aiming to inform session organisers of sponsorship during the third week of January. The final deadline for submitting a session to the RGS (with details of participants) is 19th February 2016.
