Kate Maclean is an Associate Professor in the Institute for Global Prosperity, University College London and was director of Birkbeck Gender Sexuality (BiGS) from 2016-2019. She works on gender and popular economies, finance, urban violence, and leadership, and has organised multiple conferences and symposia on topics as varied as Gendering Austerity, Marilyn Monroe, and Brexit & Trump. She has been involved in equality and diversity issues in universities since the start of her career in 2008 and is author of Sanity, Madness, and the Academy.

Ellie Jupp is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at Kent University and she works across human geography and social policy disciplines. Her recent research focuses on matters of care, activism and everyday lives, especially within contexts of austerity, and with a focus on gender. She regularly collaborates with community and activist groups on research. She has organised a number of initiatives around gender and care within universities.

Treasurer: Negar Elodie Behzadi
Negar Elodie Behzadi is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol. She is a feminist political geographer interested in unravelling the ways in which intersectional forms of exclusion and marginalisation are produced, reproduced and contested in stressed environments. Her research brings the insights of feminist political ecology, labour geography and the sensibilities of an ethnographer to issues of resource extraction, work, migration, gender and Muslimness in the Global South, the post-Soviet Muslim South and France. Negar undertakes empirically grounded research on issues with marginalized communities – women, men and children informal and precarious laborers in an extractive coal landscape marked by the emergence of Chinese investments in post-Soviet Tajikistan, and more recently children second generation migrants in France.
